I started Perpetual Consulting Services after more than 20 years in the construction industry, because I kept seeing the same thing: building services left until late, handled in isolation and out of step with how the project was actually being built.
The hardest problems are rarely technical. They're about how the design is translated into scope, where the gaps and interfaces sit, the sequence of work and who is responsible for what, and they tend to show up late, when they cost the most. We bring a builder's experience to the client's side of the table and deal with them early.

I've spent more than 20 years in the construction industry, on some of Australia's most complex projects, first with Tier 1 builders and now as an independent client-side advisor. I love what I do.
What I enjoy most is working with people. I like getting into the detail of a difficult technical issue just as much as the conversations that bring a client, builder and consultant to an answer everyone is happy with. I keep things simple, I say what we know and what we don't know yet, and I like building relationships that last well beyond handover.
